The original vodka distilled and bottled in Russia using winter wheat from the Russian Steppes and pure glacial water from Lake Ladoga. In 1894 D. Mendeleev, the greatest scientist in all Russia, received a decree from the Tsar to create the Imperial quality standard for Russian vodka. The 'Russian Standard' was born. Today in St Petersburg, our state-of-the-art distillery allows us to bring this vodka heritage into the 21st Century. Saint Petersburg is located near the Ladoga Lake, whose soft ice-age water is perfect for use in vodka - for vodka that sets new standards. The Ladoga water contains very few impurities. The softness of the water is obtained through the gigantic granite basin.
